Eleanora will be dyeing with her home grown madder. We will discuss growing madder, preparing it for dyeing, and will begin the dyeing process
Some yarn, some double pointed needles, some muttered incantations and viola, a knitted object appears. Come along and experience the warm inner glow of taking the first steps towards making your own knitted accessories. (Otherwise known as being a knitting witch.) Yarn provided, and some loan sets of double pointed needles available

Meet & Greet for any ball musicians
For ages 10-16. Maximum numbers of six.
Learn how to weave cloth on a simple frame loom. We will warp the loom in the class and I will show you how to weave four different styles on it.
Costs - $20 covers the loom, yarn and other equipment. Book at the Heorot stand on Market Day or email hindins@gmail.com before Wednesday 15 January.

Come and spend a pleasant hour spinning in a group. This is not a class but feel free to ask the group for help, assistance if needed.
Bring your spindle, wheel and fibre and any other things you use for your spinning. There may be spindles available to borrow
An introduction to the basic concepts of tablet weaving, a band weaving technique used to achieve woven trim. This will be an overview of basic materials, warping the loom, reading 'easy' patterns and fixing common mistakes
Group discussion led by one of Lochac's early Dons regarding the mindset required for successful combat on the rapier field
