Stepping up into officer roles

Do you love what we do? Do you know that the SCA relies on volunteers to deliver all this pulchritude? Do you have skills that you could share that could be useful in the delivery of all of this Marvel?

If you've answered yes to all three questions, then you might like to know more about being an Officer in the Kingdom of Lochac! Yes, it's paperwork etc - but without it we can't function. Let Dame Helouys le Poer demystify and entice you to at least consider it.

Affordable Authenticity: Building a quality wardrobe from found and repurposed materials

Let's discuss training your eye: visual tell-tales that can help you decide what is useful for a variety of eras! We'll also cover fibre burn tests, and what to feel for if you're in a situation where taking a swatch isn't possible. I'll also offer common meterage charts for things like household linens (and their likely subsequent uses!). I'll also have examples of kit made using only repurposed items!
