Come and try Siege engines - Ever wanted to shoot a medieval siege weapon ? - now is your chance - come and try a variety of siege weapons on the Archery range and also learn a bit about SCA Siege in combat (combat projectiles may or may not be available at the time - construction still in progress). Kids welcome, but a responsible parent is required due to the safety hazards.
Kings Round: As the Queen graces us with her presence this year, so too does the good King. As such, we also include this classic tourney, where instead of the target face shrinking, the distance grows. 6 arrow scored ends on a standard target face, starting at 10m and increasing by 5 each round. Best score once we reach and shoot at 30m takes the prize, with ties decided by a single end shoot off at 40m
Castle Shoot: This will be a novelty shoot with a variety of fun target options arranged around and behind a castle wall facade, simulating an assault on a medieval fortress. 6 arrow ends, requiring at least one hit to proceed, lest the brave defenders send an arrow your way in return.
Queens Round: A classic tournament format, the Queens Round involves a target face that shrinks each end. Only one scoring hit required to stay in the game, this will test your consistency and accuracy at a fixed distance. Double elimination, last Archer standing.
Speed Shoot: Exactly as implied, Here you can put your ability to shoot under pressure to the test! Timed ends of 6 arrows at a standard target face, with each end getting faster. How many arrows can you loose before the clock runs out?
