Let it be known that the annual custard eating competition at Canterbury Faire will be held 7pm Sunday in the courtyard outside the Main Hall.

- please bring some carton custard.

• This elimination format starts with a bowl of custard (bring your own custard, though there is often spare). Competitors place the empty bowl upside-down on their head and stand up when finished. If two people stand up at the same time then the person with least custard on their head wins.

• 4 fastest eaters then eat a custard square (supplied). Competitors must stand up and whistle when finished to show that they have finished the custard square. Whistling (or similar sound) must be tested prior to the round commencing.

• 2 fastest competitors skull a pint of eggnog (supplied, with optional rum). Place tankard on heads when finished. If there is a tie then the person with least eggnog on their head is the winner.

The winner is presented with a Champion Custardeer napkin. See you there.

BYO carton of custard. Custard squares and eggnog provided.

People who wish to join the Custard Guild are welcome to bring along a custard dish that you have baked a little before 7pm. If it is judged to be not awful then you become a member and receive your guild napkin.
